    OBC fix

I have a 13 button OBC that doesn't want to work. This is the second one i bought (used) and all i get is gibberish on the display. Besides being a real PITA to get in and out does anyone fix these little units or do you just keep trying until you find one that works. All anyone talks about is the light bar but this one lights up OK.
    This is in a 92 325iC.

There is a coding plug I'm the back of it installed? And everything is hooked up as it should be?

Probably the LCD glass bar. Just go to a junkyard and get a scrap one out of a car. You unscrew 4 screws on the back, and then you pop the back cover off. Then you separate the two circut boards and youll see attached to the front one is a 3rd miniboard for the LCD. You take that out and then you can swap out the LCD glass screen. This also fixes the "lava lamp effect"

No, I get good letters just not intelligent answers. I have had 9 other BMWs 6 from the 80's (2 e24s, 2 e28s and 4 e30s) so i know what it should look like and i have reset the OBC many times. Does anyone fix them?
