Okay to Good race. I hoped the tires would play more of a part then they appeared.

Perez has shown that the tires can last a good distance at a reduced speed. I wonder what Schumi could of done had he not been taken out early on.

RB was not using KERS at all... they cant play with ballast like before, but just seeing that the car was that fast w/o it was kinda scary.

I loved this race. It was pretty much non stop action in one form or another. Vettel was insanely fast and consistent. He completely deserved that win. If he races every race with this new form of maturity, and can rack up plenty of points before Ferrari and Mclaren can fully catch up, the season is over.

I agree, great race. It was AWESOME to watch the on-board camera views combined with the telemetry graphic when they would engage both the KERS and the DRS systems, a few of the passes with both engaged were mindblowing!

Great drive by Petrov ...was a fun race to watch...even though I had to watch a finnish recording because I set my dvr wrong :(

I enjoyed the first race. It came with a variety of aspects: domination by Vettel, a good battle by button and massa, a little bit of damage/open wheel racing, some 'try and see' with the tires. I think it will be a good season.

PlanetF1 is full of the button/massa drama.

Jesus Mclaren, if your man passes off track and then proceeds to argue about giving back the position when it was a clear off track pass. Don't be pissed when you get a drive through.

Like Ferrari said, they got hit with the same penalty last year, so stfu. Kubica even went out of the race right after Alonso passed him so he was unable to give back the position regardless and still had to serve his penalty.

For Lewis and McLaren saying they were going to be low key this season, they sure are talking a lot for it only being the first race.

I think McMLaren is just upset they were out witted by ferrari on this one. As soon as it was clear Button wasnt going to let Massa over take him,,, because Massa let Alonso by. They pitted Massa knowing Button would then have to serve a drive through, which is more costly. Very well done by Ferrari if you ask me. They were able to dictate Buttons race essentialy.

Yup! This happened to Alonso last year IIRC. When Alonso passed Kubica, which was a clean pass IMO, and the next lap Kubica's Renualt stopped on track.

While I do agree that Vettel seems to have matured somewhat having won the DWC last year, we still don't know how/if he's improved driving through the field. Last year he struggled unless he was in front/very near to - Spa being a case in point.

Struggled in traffic? Brazil 2009 and most of his 2008 season prove otherwise. The man, unlike drivers like Hamilton who is revered for his overtaking, has served his time at a lower-rung team, and I seem to remember him winning at Monza in a Toro Rosso. He hasn't really had a race to prove his ability to drive through the ranks with a perfect car like Alonso at Monaco last year.

Everyone struggled for the most part last year if they weren't at the front, case in point, Alonso being stuck behind a Renault driven by a crash prone Russian at Abu Dhabi or Webber being stuck behind Hulkenburg's Williams at Monza. The only driver that I truly loved to watch overtake people last year was Kamui.

Hahahaha...YES! Iceman in NASCAR with a team called ICE1!

I'd go to watch a race just to see him compete.

He is going to be 120 laps down and set the fastest lap every week I feel like. I miss Kimi, and now I get to see him again on Amuri'can TV.
