Set the DVR, but took a peek at autosport... ARGH, damn my patience.

The DRS and tire degradation have indirectly made the Tilke tracks more interesting, though.

Interesting practice results, can't wait for quali. I really like the comparison replays at turn 8 and the bumpy braking zone.

Theres an interview with Bernie Eccelstone on the official F1 website here. Most of it is not too interesting about CVC and News Corp but he raises a good point about cutting F1's emissions.

He reckons the circuit hosting the race should have to reduce its overall emissions for the entire event. So I guess that would be stuff like helicopters, shuttle buses and diesel generators, and then F1 could keep the V8's. what do you guys reckon?

If they are worried about eco friendly then they should start racing bicycles or slot cars. Racing is wasteful and in many respects its just to prove you are the best. Hybrids aren't green, constantly buying new cars isn't green, forcing stupid rules changes isn't green. The minute racing goes eco friendly the Californians will have won.

Yea kobi needs a competitive car, love watching him sling past shumi. I believe it was on f1 debrief they mentioned someone getting a contract for green engines in 2013.
Great race though, Hamilton sticking his nose on buttons outside in 8 was classic.

Yes on Kobash! I was hoping he was going to get a better result than he did, but still 24th to 10th is a good day.

I suspect he won't last long at Sauber.

Kobash should be picked up by Renault, Ferrari, or Red Bull, he is my favorite driver not at a top team.

Red Bull is out, Vettel is #1 and I can't imagine he'd want to share the team with someone who is more determined to pass anytime/anywhere than he is.

Renault, if Petrov continues doing well, there won't be a spot at Renault. Unless Kubica can't comeback, or does and fails.

Ferrari, there is already talk of Rosberg getting Massa's seat, and of Di Resta taking Rosberg's seat at Mercedes.

Personally, I think both seats at Mercedes might be available at years end. Sorry Schumi, the competition's a bit tougher than it was 7 years ago when you had the best car by a mile!

I would have to agree Merc seems the most logical choice.

Rosberg really deserves a better seat and Massa really needs to prove himself after the 2010 season. It definitely makes sense to see Di Resta move to Mercedes.

As far as Petrov, I really enjoyed watching that ballsy move he did on Heidfeld and got his panties in a bunch.

Oh you mean running his teammate off track and almost wreaking out both cars?

Fun to watch, but what a retarded move on his part.
