That was an amazing race, great overtaking move of Seb over Fernando and Michaels counter-move in the same spot over Lewis! Great race indeed, I know it would be hard on the teams but I wish we had more back to back races :( need my F1 fix asap after such a great race.

Best drive was from Perez. Its a shame the car let him down because he was in 7th place on 25+ lap tires going faster than the guys behind.

Hamilton didn't do THAT bad, he just couldn't get past Michael until it was a moot point and that colored the rest of his race.

I didn't want to rub salt into the wounds of a Hamilton fan by pointing out the obvious :P

Some great, great racing. A really enjoyable one. The start by Alonso and going into the grass at nearly 300kmh and hearing the tire break and regain traction.

Schumi on defense, although I think he made at least one distinct double move if not more. And Vettel definitely showed some racecraft today.

Too bad about Nico, I really wanted to see how his strategy would work.

Hey I like hammy but the facts are the facts.... Although I think Button came up on MS so quick he wasnt able to react, and block. I really didnt think MS made to bad of a double move, as the announcers were going bezerk over it. He made a defensive move to the right and then took his normal line to the left to setup for the corner.... I think it was classic textbook defensive driving,,,, whish their was more of it. In the context of MS and the type of racing he made his carear out of it was nothing.... ah the good ol days when you could block to your hearts content and it took brass balls to make a pass.

Was anyone else shocked how Vettel opened up such a gap so easily,,,, seriously impressive pace. That chassis has no faults. It is just goes like stink on any type of circut. Not taking anything away from vettel as he is clearly able to get more out of the car then his counterpart.

The drag race down to one was pretty damn special, Alonso on the grass, Hammy and Vettel looked like they were rubbung wheels for the length of the straight, and MS threading through traffic. Good stuff, lets hope they never go to a rolling start.

I'm going to be a Bill O'reilly for a second and just say something and stick with it, if anyone tries to correct it I'll just type it in all caps to mimic when Bill just starts yelling over his guests when he doesn't agree with them:

"I believe schumacher hates hamilton, he was running him into the grass, double blocked him a couple of times without a penalty from the FIA, and kept pushing him more than once. Button, on the other hand, passed without so much as a stare from schumi."

Cmon MS hates all his competitors. Look what he did to poor rubens last year, thats no way to repay a guy who played second fiddle to you for years. He is an equal opportunity hater! I really do think Button surprised him as he was focused on Hammy

but I'm also not defending hamilton, he's sucking it big time every race. Like I said before, I keep losing my faith in him as every race passes.

And no Schumi has said before that he roots for Vettel to win it all if he can't.

Yes, but it's also against the rules, whether you like it or think it should be.

Once you "move" off-line to defend, say a pass up the inside, you must then take the compromised corner entry. "Moving" back to the racing line is two moves.

                          Simple really.

2012 could be interesting as Kubica is not under contract with Renault as I understand it... could you imagine him and Alonso as a driver pairing. That would make for some fireworks.

I'm no talented F1 scout but this is one I've never really understood. What little I remember from him was the engineers complaining about his height/weight and how they couldn't mess around with the ballast as much due to his this, not him challenging for the top spots. For all we know he'll come back the same as Massa (hope not). I guess I just didn't pay much attention to him when he was racing.
