I did the water pump in my 95 540i and Im wondering, would the water pump on my m20 e30 be easier or harder?

m20 water pump is easy. if the water pump is bad, you might want to change your timing belt and tensioner as well. just search, or use a bently manual. pretty straight forward

Yeah I have my bentlys out right now. I hope the fan clutch comes off easy! the 540i was the biggest pain! I had to call my mechanic and borrow the tool he made himself! haha

fan clutch was easy for me too, just go get a 32mm wrench from a bike shop, they have thin ones for bikes. use that and shouldnt have any problems removing fan clutch.

search around for timing belt & water pump changing info, it sounds like a lot of work (removing rad, basically most of the front stuff) but it really isn't. first time doing it, took me 2 hours. It's very important to change both of them, and those parts are like 50$ for everything.
