i thought some ultra rare ones had the climate control from an e36.. i guess they do look similar....

Nice - you'll get a pretty penny for it, for sure, as they're so rare a lot of people are still convinced they don't exist.

I'm assuming they were found only in Europe...so your chances are a lot better than ours :)

You can tell from opening the bonnet if the car has climate or not.




I think its great, when driving for long distances or getting in early on cold mornings it heats the car up nice and evenly. IT also detects which vents are open and directs the air accordingly. You can also have hot air going to your feet and cold out the dash vents.

What can you look for under the hood as a tell tale?

Well, the one way non return valve on the brake booster has a t piece coming off it which has a very thin hard line which seems to go into the bulk head, well that’s a vacuum pipe for the sensor which is located at the drivers feet. I have no idea how it directs the hot/cold air round. I think it must be a combination of temp and how much the internal vents are opened by the electric motors.
