    opinions on greyhound

would like to hear opinions on shipping larger, bulky items(fenders/valances/hoods) via greyhound. Im having an item(valance) shipped to me and turns out that the regular shipping outlets are too much. greyhound quick quote is only $72.

I've had wheels shipped to me this way, they got to me unharmed but I wouldn't expect anybody to handle them with care.

Then again I don't expect UPS/Fedex/USPS to handle anything I give them with care either, so meh.

im about to try it. from what i've heard you will want way too much padding. and they also have college discounts.

I've had a set of F/R bumpers and a valance shipped to me... No problems as long as your not in a hurry to get them.

Plus the idea of them sitting next to an old lady on the bus made me laugh (i know they store them elsewhere).

i actually had someone suggest this to me as well, i am probably going to try it soon. fedex, ups and usps wants way too damn much for shipping on bigger items.

From a package security aspect it’s terrible. I wouldn’t use it for anything rare or valuable. I did have a pair of sport seats shipped to me with no problem.

I recently just had a inside hood insulation shipped to me by Greyhound. No problems at all.
                Good luck!

If it's packaged properly, unless they run it over it'll be fine.. it's a valance.. it goes on the back of an automobile. I'm hoping it can handle being in a box.

from a price point of view, it seems to be perfect on bigger items. this same valance was $140 for shipping using other shippers. haven't heard back from he seller yet, but I hope it works out.I have heard of people shipping transmissions using greyhound and getting great costs on it

I would use Greyhound more if I didn't have to fight off the crackheads, meth addicts, insane homeless people, etc. just to get in the door.
