E30 road trip

So I live in Michigan, Im flying down to Georgia to pick up my first clean E30 with around 200k on the odometer. what I know about it is it has a slight oil leak(no problem couple of gaskets), timing belt changed about 30k ago, 60% tread left on tires, guy says he drives it daily and it drives fine, states there is a slight vibration at around 35mph(most likely CSB), plugs and wires changed 3 oil changes ago, clutch is fine, breaks are fine, no over heating issues. My question is, being that I am going to make a 12hr journey home in this vehicle, what would you reccomend I do to it before I head out?
I figured, oil, plugs, gaskets(oil pan and valve cover), check all fluids..obvious stuff. Anything else?

Call your insurance and get roadside assistance coverage.

...and spare belts.

e30s are robust. get the roadside service from AAA or your insurance, inspect for any immediate threats and be on your way. if the car was well maintained, theres not much else you can do. out of the 7 years 80,000 miles ive put on e30s, ive only had the car become undrivable when on the road twice.

as far as backup tools, bring duct tape, string, your wrenches/screwdrivers, extra oil and coolant, and some zip ties.

also, hose clamps, vice grips, and make sure you have a good spare/jack.

I keep a toolbox, spare belts, oil and coolant in the trunk, and I do a cross country (midwest to east coast) twice a year. I also have AAA RV+, just in case.

Get AAA. I did the same thing three years ago when I bought my car sight-unseen in Dallas and drove it back to Cleveland. Never had to make any emergency calls but I did have a PPI done on the car so I knew what I was getting into.

I got a craftsman tool set like 80 pc or something like that its great to through in the trunk along with oil coolant and other tools and misc stuff mentioned before. U can fix a lot with that simply stuff but for sure bring jack or blocks of wood never get under the car with the oem jack cause they tend to roll forward
