    If you're looking for an alternative, I ended up getting FAG ones from Patrick @ BMA Parts for a GREAT price, with the 5% discount "spece30".

      I wouldn't get cheap FAG bearings off of ebay. Even if they're marked as such, they're probably not genuine. Stick with trusted suppliers.

        FAG from Rocky Mountain, BMA, Pelican, etc.

          The Advanced Auto near me is awesome, the guys are helpful and down to earth so I decided to stop by and see what they could get for these cars.

          What they quoted me was $77 for a MOOG front wheel bearing set up. The guy helping me really spoke highly of MOOG stuff. Anyone wanna weigh in on that price wise and quality wise?

                Ask him if you can order them and then get a refund if they turn out to be random Chinese crap. Once they come in, if they're good name brand bearings (SKF, FAG, Timken), then use them, otherwise, send them back.

                MOOG is generally good stuff, but I usually think of them when I think of parts for american made cars. I'd be willing to bet they just rebrand some other makers bearings for E30's.

                  For everyones future reference I took Rigmasters advice and went ahead and ordered Advanced's "MOOG" front wheel bearing. Price was $77 and when I picked it up today I was very pleased to see that it was a Federal Mogul part with a FAG bearing in it. That is about $15-$20 cheaper than I could find these anywhere else.

                    I dont believe there is any difference between the brands unless its stated they are made in house or what not. Most bearing companies use generic machine shop suppliers unless its a specialty bearing (ceramic coated or what not.)

                      I bought the PEX bearing about a year ago but never put it in. I paid over a hundred bucks and now it's unfortunately for me under 80 (because it doesn't seem like I need it after all). Anyway, the bearings don't indicate where they were made on the ring but the box is all in German and claims to be made in Germany.

                      I personally wouldn't stress too much over the source of the bearings unless they were going on the rear.

                        Damn right!!!

                        That's a good price, based on my limited searching effort for comparison prices. AND, Advance frequently has coupons and deals ($15-20 off $100 orders, etc) so if you can add one of those, the deal gets even better! I used to not be a huge Advance Auto fan, but they are doing stuff right to keep my business.

                          @willworkfore30s:up:

                          Thanks alot man! I just ordered one for $81 with a $25 off coupon and free delivery! We'll see if its the same.

                          So I go to check it today and it can't find the part. Either I got the last one, the realized they got ripped or the internets threw up. Anyway I searched Amazon and see a BCA 513111 and see the same FAG picture $91. Hmmm.

                          Question for you guys, do I get the wheel hub nut and the two dust shields and the brake 11 mm that Pelican recommends?

                          Anyone know folks in Seattle that could put it on for me? I just moved here and have no equipment or garage. :-/

                              PEX is a decent brand, though I'd order a FAG if they're available.
