I came into this thread expecting the OP to have ghetto rigged his front wheel bearings with PEX water pipe.

I'm not sure i'f I'm disappointed or relieved...

Negatory on the Pexatory, garbage- hub- man.

2 lapping days in, they'd gotten loose AND puked all their grease out.

So a total of maybe 300 miles, at most.

Loose, as in, Wes wiggled one, and said, "well, about time for new front bearings"
figuring I hadn't changed them yet.

Autohaus took 'em back. I was impressed by that part.

1 FAG, one Timken, 3 races later, still feel new.

now, sometimes I just mess with people. It's more entertaining that way. george graves

Thanks brent5631. Autozone ordered hoping it's still the case! Cheers,

                        No !

One box had an FAG German bearing
                        the other
had only NATIONAL 513111 117R markings

I called Advance Autocustomer service and they will "try"
to find another FAG bearing, and will send another bearing
and I am to send back the one that doesn't match.

                          Advance Auto

                          Kudos to Advance Auto.

They sent me a new FAG German bearing to replace the
other brand. It took me 5 hours to install both.
Both old bearings came apart and it was a biatch to
get the inner race off the spindle.
Then I installed one of my brake pads backwards.
Bur rolling smooth and quiet now.
