    V10 in a box?

If it's a repost, my bad.

About a year ago, there was a thread about a local shop building an E30 M3 with a V10 for a guy with an extensive BMW collection. The car is nearing completion and here is a lengthy pictorial of the fabrication work which has gone into the car. Needless to say, it's very impressive. Given that...

That could be posted a million times and never get a complaint.

It didn't get any complaints after the first million reposts, but now we're going on ~4 million and it is getting old.

yeah, at some point I really would rather see one of the million old reposts bumped than deal with another noob not searching. Its a great car, nice article and nice build read through but seriously guys, please for the love of all things holy SEARCH before you post, especially for stuff like this, 95% of the time you're way late to the party.

I seriously feel like if I could have any car in the world there's a very good chance I'd choose that one. Also 100k is a ridiculously low and terrible guess. I'd imagine there are over 100k in parts alone, and it's all unbelievably labor intensive and the labor is of astonishing quality.

Oh yeah and repost fuck you noob ruined my day making me see that again.

If the original post was done... on the Vortex, no less (so probably not original)... back in 2009, then the chances are rather high it would have been posted on a dedicated E30 site by now...

i've spoken to the owner of this car. he daily drives a e90 h50. which he spent $200k (iirc) bringing it into the usa. he could have built it for less here, but he wanted an ACTUAL hartge h50. so he paid the price to buy the e90 here. ship it to germany. assemble. disassemble it. ship it and parts back to the usa. and the assemble it.

                      nuts.

As bad ass as the fabrication in this car is it pales in comparison to the electronics and engine management this car is running.
