Alright thanks guys. I don't think I'll be pouring rice into it anytime soon, but as for the other tips sounds great. I finally got my title, after two and a half months, so I'm gonna go down to register and insure it tomorrow. After that I'm gonna take it to get the tune up and oil change, and then head to my friend Steve's and see if he can pull the carpet for me, since I am not sure exactly how to do it, and I don't want to risk tearing/ruining it. This poor carpet was completely mint before it got wet. :(

ouch - you've got my sympathies.
have access to garage?
Here's what i'd do:
Park a dehumidifier or small heater in there with sunroof and windows cracked for 10+ hours. (easy-ish) Get that moisture OUT OF THERE.
Maybe pull front seats and door sills - then slide chucks of 2x4 or something under carpet. Priority: Get the shit dry.
Then - with time, planning, and the warmer weather of May, readdress issue as needed. (verify if any seals are leaking) Maybe pull the carpet at that time, wash it, etc.
Seems like I read a trick where one guy left a running shop vac in cabin with windows cracked - shit, even a small fan with windows cracked would be better than nothing.
Good luck.

Steam vacuum, I had the same thing happen with my rolling shell I bought to build. Sunroof seal was missing and it leaked and filled the drivers foot tub. I just waited till it warmed up and took my steam vac to it.
The underside is rubber coated I believe, so it should be fine under it. If you are worried about the metal tubs take the seats out and remove the door jam bottom trim. Then lift the carpet up to see if it is wet, if so just towel it up and replace the trim and seats.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

Okay here's an update, I need help.
It snowed again, but this time I took plastic and sealed off the sun roof. I checked this morning. Over the past two days somehow, the SAME amount of water that was in the photo I put up I'd back, AGAIN, except this time its a frozen block of ice. I'm on my way to work but I figured I'd post this up now and hopefully over the day I could get answers on what the hell could be doing this. It sure explains why 2" of ice were under the carpet when I bought it. I just don't fucking understand where it's coming from. But this happens every time it snows. I have a new interior to put in and now I'm extremely hesitant to even keep the car if I can't locate how and why so much water keeps getting in.

windshield seal? or a leak around the cowl area, running down the inside of the firewall, then pooling in the back seat floor????
Looks like you need to drill some holes in the floor at the back. Small holes in the floorpan, then spray some paint on them to help keep from rusting. This will allow the water to drip out from under the carpet and padding. Water won't really get in there from underneath while you're driving, and the benefit of getting that standing water out of there far outweighs any negative IMHO.
You say you covered the roof with plastic? Are you SURE the plastic stayed in place? Could be that the sunroof drains are clogged/blocked, this is a common problem.
EDIT: for drying the carpet out, I second the dehumidifier idea- IF you have easy access to one, or like Kershaw said, prop up the rear of the carpet and soak it up with some towels, maybe stick a small fan in there with the carpet propped up so it dries out more quickly.

Excuse my ignorance, but why don't you break apart the ice so you can pull it apart in chucks? That way there isn't as much water melting and soaking the carpet even more.
Also, could you perhaps strip the interior and spread something powdery like baking soda? Then you could see if the water is running from the front to the back while you are parked on the hill.Originally posted by SonnyI am a meme for our community.
