sounds alot like the first time i went sideways in an e30. but unintentionally, making a 90 degree turn onto my street, with a car a few hundred feet down the road headed to the intersection. rather hard to control when the car leans so hard that one side is practically scraping the road, and the other side has 4x4 like ground clearance

        haha thats how i felt,
except i panic'd horribly and counter steer'd way to much and i dont know what i was doing with the pedals.... but i'm sure it was along the lines of smashing the accelerator out of fear then realizing i was smashing it and moving to the brake to smash on it.
not use to the 5speed quite yet so my left foot was all dead pedal haha and i came to a complete stop and the car died. restarted it, with my heart at like 120 bpm and drove straight around the corner to my house put it in the driveway and went straight inside... hahah.

Drive in the snow for a few years. You'll pick up slide/throttle control real quick. ;)

                  this.

After driving (and heavily autocrossing) a lowered dakota for 12 years the e30 feels like a go kart. The back comes around quick. It for sure needs to be stiffened up though, too much body lean for me.

                    In for the win.
First time I slid my 30 was after the rain on a wide left hand turn. Got it sideways, it was an automatic at the time so then it shifted gears & got some traction and then almost hit a little green pickup truck. My heart just about popped out of my chest.
After this you just about drive safer than ever.
