    rechargable flashlight

i noticed that BMP has a rechargable flashlight in there. this goes in the glove box on the left side, correct? is the charging system already there, or would that need to be purchased also?

          Good stuff right there.

BMW wants more money. People buy the flashlight and it gives them more money. Makes sense to me.

I'm thinking most of our cars probably came with the flashlights, but they were lost somewhere in their 13+ years of age.

They came with cars but like the battery cover they are easily lost.

You probably have one behind your radio. If I slam the glovebox it pops up into that hole and slide into the center console right under the OBC. I then had to fish it out from below.

You car also came with a pen and a small handtowel. I have the pen but the handtowel is long gone.
                Im now E30less.

I have my battery cover still

i checked ebay, but none of the units on there worked. worth it just to get it from bavauto. I used to have a small rechargable flashlight in my cig lighter, but it broke and now Brookstone doesn't sell them anymore, I'd have to get one from ebay

but the dash light on ebay is $10, whereas the bmw one is 20-25 in bavauto or bmp

so I'm probably just gonna get the one that goes in the cigarette lighter

I got a little foam piece over my socket for the flashlight. Guess it didnt come with my car. I've got an extra black one for an E36 by the way. Wont fit an E30 but I'm willing to trade for a working E30 one or some cash.

I've never noticed the prongs in my M10, but now I'm going to have to double-check tomorrow morning. :D

do you have a 318is? We didn't get them. The prongs do have power though, my flashlight works/charges

Why did BMW put those plugs in there when they never included the light anyway.

Yup they came in some cars but not 318is. They are wired for it for sure.

it's cheaper to manufacture one similar wiring harness
