          Jeez, took over 50 posts to get to the two Mercedes closed-wheel cars that matter the most. 300SL roadster, 300SLR. How about this gem though? Closed-wheel W196 Grand Prix car.

              Always figured the W124 was better compared to XJ40 & XJS Jaguars.

              But yeah, > E34.

                I had a Sovereign XJ40 with 11K miles on the clock back at the end of High School, it made cash vaporise like you wouldn't believe.

                    Have yet to see the mythical gullwing in person. Seen a handfull of 300sl verts, but never a gullwing. Word through the body shop grapevine is there's one looking for restoration in my area. Hope I can track it down.
