how well do the v1's work?
i usually roll at 85-90 and slam on the brakes hard. usually there's very few cars on the road when im on my way home late at night.
i've had about 7 or 8 close encounters in the last month.
at least 4 times the cop actually pulled out and followed me.
last time i floored it, took a freeway change and didn't see him.
so i doubt im gonna stop speeding, hmmm maybe the V1 would be a great investment....

I got an escort 8500 for like $80 on ebay, hardwired it with a piece of phone cord. Done.

I would say V1 or something from escort. Also check with your state laws on detectors. I recently found out that it is illegal to attach anything to your windshield in Ca.

I had that exact one. It is complete fucking garbage. I tossed it in the trash (gave it to my brother for his e46), and bought a Valentine 1 off craigslist for cheap.

Another vote for a V1. Its great, but you gotta pay. Other brand comparable units are still just as expensive.

V1, depending on your state fees, it'll pay for itself easily

    started a topic radar detector?

    radar detector?

i speed a lot on the highway, most often when i get off work late(catering so after 12 or 1). the state troopers out here hide in the shadows like ninjas, I HATE NINJAS!

not looking to spend bookoo bucks, but this looked like a good deal.
says it detects all radar bands.

anyone have experience with this, or similar cobra products?
anyone wana point me in a better direct?
