        Mobil 1 15w-50.
Usually Mobil 1 filter, but have a K&N oil filter right now, they were out of Mobil 1 filters at the time.

I recently dumped in a second batch of this stuff along with a Mahle filter....

I typically run it for 5000 miles before changing. Nearly 165K miles on the clock and not a single drop on the driveway.

Oil filter really doesnt matter all that huh?

I've noticed mobil 1 and some other companies are offering a much larger variety of semi synthic blends now, under mobile 1 there is clean 5000 clean 7500, wtf is that shit?

I use 15w50 full synthetic mobil 1 here in california because its hot and i drive my car hard all the time

Penrite HPR30 - it's 20w60, nice and thick. Aussie oil for Aussie conditions (for a German car :? ) OE filter.

I use the 5w30 BMW Synthetic oil that they require on the newer cars. I use it in my E28 535iS and in my girlfriends '87 325iS with factory Mahle filters. Works well, and I get it cheap/free so its even better :D

0-20! are you fucking nuts or do you just want to wear your engine down to a pool of molten metal?

That's way too thin. That oil is made for new engines with minimal tolerences. Jesus!

I would think that that is too thin for even an M50.

He might, I can't remember, but doesn't that seem a little thin even for that engine?

If not then I appologise for flying off the handle like that.

I know someone that runs the same weight in an S50. May even be 0-30 - don't remember.

                              It runs 5-30 usually.

Why not Fram? I've heard this before, but no one has ever given any reason why, just that "they suck". I'd be interested in seeing some test results to verify why they are an inferior filter.

Mobil 1 10w-30 in the summer, 5w-30 in the winter. I'd also use Castrol.
