    Easy current winter car

    1990 BMW 325i
    $500
    my town
    from a female friend i went to high school with
    Car was actually a wicked steal for $500, only thing it needed was a new gas tank, (hole on the top of the tank spills out if you top it off) still need to fix that actually; then it needed a clutch but i did a bunch more stuff as preventative maintenance and fixing any minor leaks.
    so far only $1300 invested into the car and works like a charm.
    pics maybe later but be warned it is not everyone's cup of tea. (all i will say is sharpies+colored sharpies+art majors+white car - clear coat = e30 art car)

              lol, it needed waxed and the exhaust hooked back up. The guy took the cat off. So i just left it off and ran it with no cat and a stock muffer. I know there are some on here that got running cars for free though.

                    $300.00 1968 VW Bug with a rebuilt engine from a JY. Rolled around with it from 16 until I was 18. After that a free 1972 Mercedes 280 SEL with the 500 SEL 6.3 V8 that did 12 second quarter miles bone stock in a 4,800lb car. Loved that thing.

                      1984 318i for $150. Bought from a guy who just couldn't handle the electrical gremlins anymore and wanted to be done with it. I towed it home, threw in a battery and drove it around randomly for the next 6 months til I sold it for $1000.

                        description of the car? Well the body was straight, needed a good wax and detailing tho. The M50 was rebuilt 30k ago with papers to prove it. She had parked it 6 months prior because of the "trans program" error that was just a bad sensor that sent it into limp mode, aka 3rd gear. She sold it to me cause she thought the tranny was bad. (a dead stop acceleration in 3rd gear makes it seem like it's slipping) The interior was dirty, but fine, till she let her dogs sleep in it for a few nights. Just FYI dogs like leather and as a result they ate it all. It truely was a shame to send that car to its maker. No one even wanted it for free. It was fully loaded down to the LSD and heated seats. Still feel guilty about that one. :(

                          * '87 BMW 325e - $500 + $125 Fees = $625

                          Only problem it had was a leak in the exhaust. engine ran great. Then I crashed it and sold it.

                          * '88 325 - $500 + $175 Fees = $675

                          Run great. AC works

                          * '91 318is $400 + $125 Fess = $625

                          Engine ran ok, S50 swapped the shit out of it.

                            85 Plymouth Horizon 2.2 auto

                            45 bucks (YES FORTY FIVE bucks)

                            Southern MI

                            Buddies Neighbor

                            Needed a tune up and carb rebuild really bad, and the kick down cable for the tranny was broken so you had to drive it like B&M slap shift, but it did run. We would hear the neighbor try and start it to go to work, with sparatic success. Well he got fed up with it and put it up for sale for 60 bucks at the end of the shared drive. We saw and it I bought it on the spot but talked him down to 45. The battery was dead from the idiot trying to start it for us. So we pushed it into my buddies garage and put the charger on the batt, and hopped in my truck to go acquire parts for our new project. Well about 75 bucks latter and a carb rebuild kit and full tune up we set to work in the garage. About 90 mins after that we invited the neighbor over (did I mention we hated him) and it fired off on the 1st crank and ran like a champ (he was pissed when I told him what it cost to get it running good again). It lasted about 6 months till we blew up doing all kinds of stupid abusive shit too it, like trail running with the 4x4 guys with it, jumping it, drove it into a pond, all kinds of shit.

                            google pic not mine but it looked just like this.
