I don't understand the reason for doing so many pie cuts for the turns? You could jusy use a donut or a u bend to make the turns without all the sectioning and welding. Umless he is using ti tubing. Even then, I am pretty sure you can buy ti donuts and j/u bends to do it with.~ Puch Cafe. ~ Do business? feedback ~ Check out my leather company ~

How many build threads are there on R3V where guys buy all their parts from manufacturers like VAC, Ireland, UUC, and other places, and never make any of their own parts or really do anything custom? I dont think I could even count them on two hands, because there are just to many. I guess it is kind of a point of contention in the car community. Did you really build a car if all you did was buy parts and bolt them together? This doesnt really belong in this thread so Ill stop. I think he should still have a build thread though.sigpic

What is the application of that specific part? I understand that I guess that can be considered a "precision" piece of equipment (relatively) and that there are exceptions for everything, but especially since it is threaded on one end, I really wonder what would necessitate holding tolerance to 1 or 2 ten thousandths... Do the design engineers get their rocks off on "perfection"? Do they consider manufacturing feasibility when designing things?
I'd be really surprised if there wasn't some legitimate reason why I'm wrong... I'm actually just curious what that is.
