    I can't get enough of my M20.
It's the best part of the car.. Pulls hard, runs smooth, idles nice, sounds awesome..
got the car with the intent of doing a swap but have changed my mind....

I'm pretty sure if your car is sorted it's pretty quiet (you won't hear the valves/injectors with the insulated hood down). Once I sort my slight vacuum leak and swap the autotragic I look forward to driving my m20 for many many kms!

This. As much as I'd love to do a swap, I don't think I ever could.
I'd rather have a perfect running M20 then a "decent" swap. Besides, M20 is simple and cheap as fuck.

i'd rather have a well-sorted m20 than an m50. in fact, having driven a boosted m20, i'd rather have one of those than a boosted m50.

It's the Sewing Machine from Hell and I love it. It's been the most reliable car I've ever had & it sees the right side of the tach quite often too :) I checked the valves to adjust them once, they were all in spec... haven't changed a thing. That motor is music to my ears through the Stromung!

X2. I still have my B34 sitting in the barn waiting on an M5 clutch and FW for a swap, but I think I'm getting a little attached to this +300k M20.

                        God, I hate M20s....

                          m20s are turrible engines.

I cant wait to put in an s50.

I couldn't believe how smooth my eta was after I changed the spark plugs.

i had just gotten my old eta running perfectly for about a month. it was beautiful. i was so happy. and then some old man wrecked it. :/

my red ix that i DD currently runs very nicely too. but its not an eta. i miss the etas gearing, rwd, and power down low.

                                i've made an obervation:

the b25 I'm currently running doesn't make much TQ from 1000-3600.
my former seta-based b27i was strong from 2000-3100 and then it seemed to peak at 5000 rpm.

if i could do it again, i would love to run another b27i but with a cam and BBTB to help move some power higher into the rpm range.
