I only have 1 square foot of primer right now, matches the paint pretty well actually...
I took the car into work today at the dealer and people liked it a lot. I did an alignment and got the E36 rack performing just as it should. I moved the spacers to the bottom side of the rack to strighten the angle of the tie rods and now I have a lot less bump-steer which feels nice. The car drives much better now with everything strghtened out how it should be and has a nice on-center feel with great tossability and control.

Ryan, just wondering, how'd you learn how to do all these mods and engine work?

I went to Santa Barbara City College for Auto Tech and I graduated with an AS degree in June of this year.
I work as a BMW Tech at the dealer here in Santa Barbara, and I have learned everything I know from tinkering around with my car and reading up on procedures online and whatnot.

Lucky you, piece of shit Santa Monica College discontinued their automotive program right when I started going there, so I'm hoping to make time to attend an engine theory class at LA Trade Tech.

Ok, now for some pics... finally got my pic hosting up again so here they go!
255's out back. bilstein sports, ST springs, adjustable TA bushings, urethane subframe bushings, new halfshafts, m-coupe diff cover, stainless brake lines, borla exhaust, e46 m3 cabrio RSM's, calipers will be silver next week to match fronts...

Engine back in the car, I need more pics of it complete as it is now...

This shows the rear fender rolling. Still needs the bodywork done, but you get the general idea from this pic.

Here are the front brakes. The car is lower now with everything installed, but I want it a bit lower... might have to get some j-stocks or go to GC's. The calipers still need painting. I am adding a 5mm spacer to bring the wheels out a bit to fill the fender more.

Thats it for now, I will get more over the next few days when I get some other projects done, like the Black Suede headliner...

Ryan and I took the m3 out for a spin last night - and "hooolllllyyyy shizzzitnet!!!!!"

Breaks are amazing - normal breaking feels as if there is a huge rubber band pulling you back - and when you really get in them you're glad you're wearing your seat belt - otherwise you'd be kissing the windsheild.

It hard for me to judge the motor - since I am so use to my 3.5L m30 - but it loves to sing. It's a treat - not a chore to paddle you're way done the road with the gear box. The car chalenges you to keep the revs up as if it were asking you "how good of a driver are you?"

Handeling is awesome - turn-in is not as fast as with 18" but still impressive - And that car can hug the road - (ask me how I know!) - nearly shit my self once or twice...

                      Awesome man!

Damn, amazing. You have EVO III front fenders right? Do you really need that clearance?

I like the rear fender like that, and the color of your valve cover looks great.

The front fenders are indeed EVO3 units. They are cut 1/2" taller in the arch and are (supposidly) 1/2" wider in the flare aswell. I needed it with the 18's, and the tires I have now are the same height as the 18's were... I want to lower the car further down because of the look that the EVO3 units create, but I have yet to decide how I will drop it down now that the front end is over 130lbs lighter than stock...
