Heeter, you know coffee wont keep you awake if you need sleep. Also driving wears on you in a different way. Ive been in a similar situation where I thought I was fine and didnt feel tired (middle of the afternoon even) but 2.5 hours into my drive I woke up to find myself just crossing over the line. I was WIDE awake after that but did crash out at the nearest stop for 20 minutes.

Its an easy fix, hardly a r3v since it wasnt raining or you werent attempting to "drift." Just be happy that you didnt get anyone killed.
    Im now E30less.

hey, that looks like my car when I bought it and, still, today. :(

Glad you weren't hurt. I've driven with no sleep, it's so hard to concentrate, I had to pull over and let my buddy drive. I tried to stay awake to keep him company but I fell asleep in a second.

some friends of mine flipped their explorer that same night, probably from falling asleep. he said it was a deer....doubt it.

        FUCK THAT.

if you are tired behind the wheel pull over, get off the road.....get some rest in a rest area....drink some coffee or even get a hotel.

Driving that sleepy is as reckless as driving drunk (don't you watch 20/20??!?).[/quote

Yea but d00d that doesnt count because you are having more fun when drunk then sleepy.

Falling asleep at the wheel happens to many people frequently, and is not regarded as being careless.

          1) i was on the clock for work

          2) i was less then 45 seconds away from my final destination when this happened, it was 1/2 mile down the hill. :-(

I had been up since 6am cause i played racket ball with my dad before going to work today..

I'm lucky i veered right rather then left.. while going through the mini underpass thing there was a huge SUV going by the same time.
