    Quick Question About Overheating

So i recently changed my thermostat on my car because of overheating and it fixed the problem for about a good two weeks. Now it is starting to overheat again but i did not do a proper bleedin of air and only filled it with water because this car is parked in my backyard and is a project, its barely being driven. You think that would be the problem because it was good for 2 weeks. It overheats within 10-15 minutes at idle... It also shakes a little. (idk if that has to do with anything relating to the problem).

if its overheating at idle, check the fan clutch

Is there a proper way to test one or should i just go buy a new one ( the risk of asking a noob question ) but if the fan spins isnt that all that matters?

Get a old news paper roll it up while the car is hot and running put the newspaper in the fan (not all the way) if the fan stops real easy then its fucked.

It could also be your water pump is the car leaking any water. My water pump shit its self same problem would over heat during idle but was find while driving.

i think it is my coolant level. Im going to the shop soon to pick up 3 gallons off coolant so i can bleed the system of air.
