Good performance pads for the track/street

Time to change the pads on my vert. I've got some Hawk's (don't know which ones) in there now that have been great but was wondering if there are other pads I should consider. Thanks. Low dust is preferred.

I've had the Hawk HPS+ on my car for the last 2 brake jobs, and they're great. Very little dust.

Track pads don't work well on the street and vice versa. I've heard of people running PFC 06 on the street. We use them on our track car and love them. Track pads aren't going to be low dust.

Have you ever considered rotor/pad combinations? There's more to take into account here than just the pads.

This is what this thread is going to turn into, especially being about brakes.

I used hawk pads on my mk2 gti. I loved them. Very low dust in my case. They were the cheaper ones at about 75 bucks. Worth every penny.

Possibly. I'm not using any crazy rotor. Just a powerslot. (Ooo I know slots=crappy)
But I really think it's the pads. I don't mind the dust though, cause my stock brakes grip like crazy.:D

I love the HP+ for a street pad. They are NOT a great track pad, because at elevated temperatures they give up and have no performance.

For LIGHT tracking, they'd be OK, but they're not optimal. HP+ are great as long as you don't mind dust and noise. I've run them on two different cars, and love them.
