I took my car to a shop today

I promised myself I'd never take my car to a shop as long as I can humanly possible repair it myself.

Well I can't take tires off by myself, and I needed my rear toyo proxes rotated from left to right so that the wear was now on the outside and the good tread was on the inside.

I specifically instruct the guy "I need my rear tires dismounted from both wheels, and have the wear put on the outside and the good tread on in the inside."

Puts it on a lift, and rotates my staggered front tires to the back, and my bigger rear tires on the front. None of the tread is in the right direction btw.

Whenever I go to a place like this, I'm usually right there watching them. It's also usually a mom and pop shop so they don't mind me there unlike high-end places requiring you to stay in the waiting room.

thats why,(if i took it) i would be there right with them to make sure. i would not have paid them if i came back and all they did was rotate the tires like that. anyone could do that

damn, when i got my exhaust done i hung out in the shop and watched. good thing i was there too or else the tips of my mufflers woulda been all fucked up.

Lol! He must have been the guy I went to school with who pulled the front of a Miata on the dyno...strapped it down, and got in it waiting to run. Instructor let him do it too. We were rolling on the floor laughing!

....also had a guy back an SRT4 onto the dyno and do the same deal.
