Not quite sure what to make of this one. True M-Tech? Or impostor? Except for the wack-job interior, it looks presentable. Good price for manual 'vert?

Here's something VERY interesting. This poor baby needs a LOT of love.

          1985 BMW HARTGE H5S E28 M5 ALPINA- $12500
          http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/5442679443.html

Project car, 5 speed dogleg , I have the correct wheels , 87000 kilometers , runs and drives ,minimal rust. Real Hartge car, not a clone . I was planning to restore but have too many projects. Missing nothing but the correct Hartge valve cover, that I used for another project. Please no low ballers ,I know exactly how much this car is worth .

if it was an e30, i would have a faint interest. definitely going to take the right buyer to come along. seats are cool, but certainly not factory. it always irritates me when someone needs to "enhance" their ad with words like "alpina" and "m5" when clearly it isn't. all that does is make whoever is perusing the ad think the car is a fake.

I don't understand why it's a rebuilt title though, he says it's never been in an accident.

This doesn't say anything about chopping the roof off an IX or about adding AWD to a standard convertible. Is this just some idiot with a misplaced 325ix badge? Probably.
