just what it says. down shift. like 5th to 4th, 4th to 3rd. or 5th to 3rd for a power boost instead of slowing down. basically making use of your gears/powerband. if youre not familiar with it, dont try it on your own. get someone that knows how to do so,to show you.FOKAI DA'MA'SHI'I ENSANE GRAPPING INT.

Well I downshift all-too-often....regardless of which gear I'm in. My 4th gear runs out somewhere just above 100mph (I'm running a 4.10 LSD) so if I'm in 5th and doing 90mph and want to pass, then I downshift ;)

Don't you have enough power in 4th for passing on the highway? After about 70mph, 4th should be pulling quite well.
