i thought this was going to be something cool.Instagram: @jstnlwsOriginally posted by HarryPotternot to be racist but i've had multiple african americans comment on how they love my car. I've seen pics of e30's rolling through africa with at least 15-20 africans on them with ak-47's. WILD. its in the african blood. Hope this wasn't too racist, forgive me as I am intoxicated.Comment

Those wheels are gayer than cum on a mustache, I would not pay $115k for that car.

Its about the principle, and the feel. I've driven the newest GTI with its paddle shifters and I just don't dig it. It isn't as responsive and I feel like I don't have as much control.
I don't know about the M3's DCT gearbox but I do know how my left leg works.

it's a driver engagement thing. like being a passenger instead of a driver. you just push your foot down and (sorta) tell it what direction to go.
and, I agree - no 3rd pedal = meh.Comment

Again, you can't talk shit on a system you haven't experienced yourself. Well you can, but your comment has no relevance.
nando, drive one. I promise the lack of a clutch pedal does not take a 420hp car and make you a "passenger."
I do realize there is plenty of "machismo" associated with rowing your own gears, but if it makes you faster...ahh nevermind.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

meh. sure it does. you push your foot down, and the car moves. I've had high HP, V8, automatics before. It doesn't do anything for me. It takes some of the engagement between the driver and the car away. Plus, the car has all sorts of other electronic gizmos to assist in your steering input too. You just have to tell it generally where you want it to go, and push your foot down. That makes it fast, but not neccesarily fun.
it's not always about being faster, either. remember, we're enthusiasts for E30s here. Very few of them could be considered fast. If I wanted something fast, I could go out and buy a new mustang. that would also piss all over a base M3.
another thing about having a fast car, is you get used to it, and want to go moar faster. There's simply no end to it - there's always something else that's better.
But being able to perfect a downshift around every corner, and hell, rowing gears even in stop and go traffic, the manual transmission makes driving enjoyable even when I'm driving my wife's soccermom-mobile. I get some pretty wicked stares when I rev-match in the Subaru Wagon at intersections... :DComment
