Disconnecting the auto harness was more annoying than it was worth IIRC. It was simpler to do the wiring in my write up.

OP can you post a picture of your shifter area and any connectors?

This might help you with the reverse switch as well. I was going nuts trying to figure out what was what until i found this pic. BTW that hand is not mine, lol might be an off topic reply but it will help you.

I haven't seen yoshi's writeup but if you do the wiring the traditional way, your CC won't work anymore. Removing the auto wiring junk is the only way to deal with that.

I never checked if the CC still worked. I've never owned an E30 where it worked lol.

yeah, if you don't need CC, then it's not worth removing the wiring. I never did, as once I converted to MS I didn't need the auto harness jumpered at all to start the car, I just put it back to stock and now my CC works again.

i quickly browsed the thread but when doing my auto to man swap... i had a nuetral safety switch relay under the dash i had to jump to start the car. Mine is a 91 tho,the relay is near the headlight switch under there somewhere. good luck

what is this CC you speak of?
OP, do you even have the reverse switch wires that connect to the trans?

you seem to be missing the reverse switch wiring.

I'm fairly sure the blue/white wire is for the reverse switch. I think you need to connect all the green wires together but I'm not 100% sure. Prob pop a fuse or two lol.

yea looks like you dont even have the wiring. the reverse wiring is 2 wires that you should have plugged into the side of the trans and lead in through the shifter hole. that would be the blue and black wires. ( mine were blue and blue/white)

well yea. the manual trans should have wiring with it. If not, half the diagram makes no sense.
