How do you keep your plastic parts looking good?

I mean the base plastic black parts like the grills, etc. Stuff on the exterior or engine bay.
I just bought a set of touring skirts, they're in the base plastic black and I want to keep them that way. I've given them a good wash, there's some asphalt to remove, but they're nice. They look awesome when they're wet but they fade when dry.
There's always that sort of whitish shitty fade.

One time I somehow managed to get ugly ass vents to look new by putting them in the dishwasher. One of the fluids in there really made them look great. But I sure can't fit skirts in there.

I've tried plastic bumper/parts renewal crap, but it usually lasts a week or until it gets wet.
I could put black matte vinyl on them, lots of work with that though.

So how do you guys do it?

I think I'll vinyl 'em + lip. Going to have to clean it damn good though.

Dupli Color trim black, just as good but half the price. But this gets my vote.

armor all type of spray. wipe the extra crap off cause it likes to collect dust- may take a few times till it looks good, but works great without having to paint. redo every few months and its fine
