What's your favorite E30-era tuning house?

Straight to the point, who was your favorite?

The near-OEM styling and fat 5 spoke wheels of AC Schnitzer? The cow-catcher front end and purple/green interiors of Alpina? Maybe the understated styling and growl of the cars of Hartge? The Italian influence of Racing Dynamics?

Maybe one of the lesser-knowns like Mk Motorsport or Baur, or one of the few American shops like Dinan?

Whoever it was, let's hear who your favorite is, and why!

I love them all, if I had 3 pick Id say Alpina, RD and MK. ACS has some nice stuff, but looks better on later cars.

MK Motorsport; they make some absolutely beautiful stuff. I love the wheels and their dead pedal is pretty much my Holy Grail. I still want to get a grille badge from them but last I emailed them the shipping charges were astronomical.

alpina, the front air dam is boss, the interiors are boss, the motors are boss. End of story for me.

Hartge. You hit it pretty well with your description. They are a little more low-key, but still up to amazing stuff.

ACS all the way. Technically, Alpina is not a tuner!

I cannot find the other pics of the ACS S3 2.5 based on the M3. It's a black M3 with 3 pc ACS wheels. It really got me into E30 M3's back in the day.

ACS is my vote. I know it isn't supposed to be a comprehensive list, but Hardy & Beck would be another contender. BTW, this thread is begging for pics.

Dinan, I just love the work they do I guess.

                            Mostly because of this car.
