I'm trying to remove the bushings without damaging them LJ. I'll see if I can get measurements afterwards.

ID of trailing arm is 1". OD of Bushing is 1 1/16". Is this standard?

Didn't really read anything but, if you throw them in the freezer it might help a bit.

My advice would be to use ALOT of grease. Grease the bushings, and grease the trailing arms. Press them in first without the metal sleeve then grease up the sleeve and bushing hole. Then press them in. It may help it you grind down the sleeve to a slight taper. Im not sure what youre doing wrong but it honestly wasnt that hard of a job for me granted I used an actual press at my work. lol

P.S. I saw that you drilled a pressure release hole but it looks off centered. If its off centered, once the bushing passes the hole, itll just build pressure again.

I finally managed to get them in. I had to taper the trailing arm and the sleeve. i don't know why this was so difficult for my trailing arms. everyone told it's a breeze once you get the old bushings out, lol. grain of salt I guess. This was seriously more difficult than my rear wheel bearings.

I inserted the bushings first, then tapped the metal insert in with a hammer while the other half of the rubber bushing was resting on the ground so it wouldn't pop out. Had a friend hold onto the trailing arms for me.
Drive it hard. Maintain it well.
