well, my car was a california car that i had gone through and serviced (before i worked on cars) and that got it off on the right foot. But thats something you should do after buying a car regardless if you dont know when it was done lastLeave a comment:

Yeah that's fairly impressive.
My eta WAS reliable in the sense that it would always start up (usually) but there was still a bunch of BS to deal with all the time.Leave a comment:

87 please take the massive tampon from your vagina. Do what you want with it after you remove it, it's none of my business.
You are the only one here with massive complaints. My car has treated me like a god. Never left me stranded. Been on multiple 200 + mile trips with it.Leave a comment:

But you've replaced the rear bushings and some of the front?
Your car has it's e30 quirks like the rest of them. Like anyo ld car though. In reality any car this old is going to have some quirks. I agree it's better to have a newer DD.Leave a comment:

to run? hardly anything maintenance wise. I need to change out my oil because you have to after removing the head but theres not much the car NEEDS. finishing my seats, tweaking the coilovers, and the paint aren't necessary fro transportation and largely optionalLeave a comment:

Yeah but how many parts do you know your car could use...?dont listen to 87e30, his car is just unreliable because its fashioned out of toothpicks and bits of old wire.
Recent headswap aside it hasnt cost me much to maintain, or been particualrly unreliable. I mean it IS an old car, so dont expect warrantied toyato levels, but if youre not a moron with a wrench and dont mind giving it love regulalry, its not bad.
its also never left me stranded except for after i did hte headswap, and i made a stupid mistake leaving an electrical connection loose.
Sure it works, but it's not exactly like it doesn't need anything.Leave a comment:

lets face it. e30s are almost classics at this point. better to have a newer car + e30 as a non DDLeave a comment:
