    E36's are the Stephen Baldwin of the 3 series family. They barely hold everything together and they only sold a lot because of the popularity of their older sibling.

    If you buy an E36, good luck with your horrendous electrical woes, bazillion dollar parts, and your computer controlled fucking everything.

    E36 has much much more mechanical grip then the e30 does.
    It also has a decent rear end suspension.

    after driving an e36 a few times this week...

    im going to have to say an e36.

    it really is a much nicer car. e30s look way better though.

    pros:
    e30 - looks beast.
    36 - mpg, horsepower, refined driving, quiet, calm, excellent 24v growl, cheap 5 lug rims.

    cons -
    just reverse the above list...
