    BMW DS1 wheel end-table "build"

    first step: crack a beer.

next, head on over to your nearest CNC router and cut a 25" circle out of clear acrylic sheet...

now to find a base. i decided on a brushed aluminum "toilet paper holder" at target. the opening was the perfect size to put lugs through and border it all the way around snugly.

of course you need a wheel... ive been saving this one for quite awhile with this exact purpose in mind. its a PERFECT condition, DS1 with the original tire and original wheel weight.

    refreshed some lugs with spraypaint.

    assemble!

and finally, crack another beer and put the table to use!

Nifty. How stable is that base with a whole wheel/tire combo on the top?

It's actually super stable, the lugs go through and put pressure on the side and hold the wheel in awesome. I gave it a good wobble test and I'm not worried.

                          I like it a lot.

Let us know when you get tired of the stinky tire in your room. They always off gas and bother my sinus.

                          Still.... It look cool.
