maybe start a seperate thread on it instead.
hes asking for honest help/advice so lets try to keep it on topic.

@ m3troy , thank you for the advice brotha. no offense taken at all ! you actually implemented in my head that maybe i should just relax with the m50 till i have enough to just boost it .. but i feel as if i won't have the money to boost it for awhile , so i wanted to beef it up for the time being .. shit i don't knowwwww

as for turbojake's question , its pretty much rhetorical . I don't NEEEED a fast car , obviously a figure of speech man but when you go from 320 hp srt4 to 200 hp lil e30 it sucks man . We all know the feeling , need for speed bro lol .. i got to have a fast car.

just ride in the m50 for a bit. at the same time save up.

if youre feeling the need for more speed. buy 1 thing to patch your speed fix up. that way you can try to save up for boost. but not blow all your money on the smaller engine mods at once. does that make sense?
              SO MUCH MORE TO DO!!

I'm with the guy on the first page. your best bet is to just save up for a nice turbo kit. Honestly, I like a car with excellent suspension, high gearing, and a strung out low hp motor. Theyre still fun at lower speeds and I have no need to do 120mph+ on the highway or any road for that matter. If you want to swing your dick at some v8 mustang(etc) every now and then, or just get into it on a straight road, then turbo. If you wanna just enjoy a quick little car with some extra power then cams, injectors, chip, header, exhaust, intake, blah blah blah.... all the standard shit you would to these NA m50/2. You sound like a guy that will outgrow an NA m50 eventually so just save for a turbo man. To get big hp put of a NA BMW motor cost relatively the same, if not more, than a boosted BMW motor.

                      I went from a 350hp and 430ft/lbs-o-torque 89 ford PROBE to an 80 hp 84 datsun 200sx.

Sucked huge weenies. So yeah. I know... The E30 isn't nearly perky enough for my liking. But it's certainly no 80 hp slouch.

(I still have my probe... Still scared to death of that car... The torque steer man! The torque steer..................)

Best bet for the M50 is another vote from me for boosting it. It's a cruising motor more so than a power motor.

if you do the suspension up proper with some good tires youll have yourself a blast on a nice twisty road back road.

buy a megasquirt instead of a chip. that way you can get a tune, throw larger injectors in there, tune for that, learn the MS AND all the while be contributing towards your turbo build AND learning MS.

                                done.
