one might assume 29n to 90 and over..... If so pro tip, stop for the night in SD if your going to sleep in the car (WY has horrid rest stops for this) or if your going to push though, dont get a motel in Gillette WY, very expensive if you find a room at all. Run the extra 2 hours to Sheridan nicer town better hotel availability (its tourist season though). There are no real rest stops open from Sheridan to Billings. I dont stop at night in WY rest stops along 90.

I see, yeah my family is here with one car, so I cant really drive around to meet up. Lol... if you are taking 90 back.. you should just come down to Minneapolis here and catch 94 in the morning. We can chill on the highway, lol. We are taking 90 all the way home and likely leaving 6:30 am on Monday morning.

We will likely stay the night in Rapid City SD. But I dont really know. PM me

Currently driving through the middle of Missouri. Just saw an e92 328 pull over and a lady got out and started puking. Too bad I couldn't get a pic. I guess the open road isn't meant for everyone.

Day 4, and what a day it was.

Initially the plan was to go to Chicago from Ohio to stay with a friend, but then I remembered I had to ship my Ex girlfriends stuff back to her. Since it weighed a ton, and i wanted to see her anyway (attempt to win her back after i royally fucked up) my new destination became Lawrence, Kansas where I am now as I write this.

I left Ohio at 3:30am on a mission to make it Lawrence by 2pm Central time(I made it by 1:20)....Yea, hauling ass was a part of the plan. I got on 70 and proceeded to drink my Starbuck Mocha Frappa-gay-o and drive like I'd never driven before.

I snapped this trippy pic as I left Ohio and entered Indiana

As i drove through the early morning hours accompanied only by trucks and few other motorists i really didn't grasp the speed at which i was traveling...Until I got to Indianapolis at around 6:10am. Yup 210 Miles(15 of which were the back-road drive to rt70) in an 2hours and 40minutes. Like i said, hauling ass.

This is a pic I took of Indianapolis...My camera really didn't feel like cooperating so I opted for a more abstract look at the city.

I continued on pushing hard through Indiana, only slowed down by a lane closure, gas stop, and a chipotle poop that was very close to ruining both my Recaro and my shorts.

This was a tremendous contributing factor in me nearly soiling myself and my car.

If any of you ever are taking a road trip DO NOT include: chipotle, starbucks mocha-frapa-gay-os, and big cans of red bulls.

After my epic highway rest stop poop, the ride became incredibly dull. There were several runs to 110-120 out of pure early morning boredom paired with me being the only car on the road. After that got boring, I just started jamming out and snapping away.

This truck wins coolest vehicle of the day. It was spotless and sounded great.

                    Some scenic pics for y'all

                    attempt at cool shadow pic

                    a really really nice field.

an equally nice field on the other side of the road.

Then I saw this sign...About a minute later I saw Pocahontas herself sitting on the side of the road hitchhiking. I slowed down and was going to stop, then I realized the last thing i needed was some self-righteous native american chick trying to navigate my trip. Just cause she walked across the country like a million years ago and discovered the west. Fuck that, I've got a TomTom.

Once I was a good ways into Illinois boredom hit hard. This and air guitar were the result

It was a fun couple of hours full of laughs, strange looks, and angry looks from fellow motorists.

And what would the Mid-West be without a ridiculously huge cross on the side of the highway?

                    The mighty Mississippi

                    Home to the KC Royals

Aside from all those pics, the ride was pretty uneventful other than the lady puking her guts out on the side of the highway in Missouri aka Misery.

As for my driving, I'd say i set a new personal record. 740 Miles in 10hours 20 minutes with 2 gas/pee stops and one 15 minute poop stop. With stops and a 15 minute slow down to 45mph i managed an average speed of 72mph. Not too shabby.

Now, for the rest of the adventure. My Ex? (yea there is a question mark because i have no idea what we are doing) wants me to stay in town another day, so for today there will be no driving. Just chilling and trying to mend the bridges I burned here in Lawrence, Kansas. Tomorrow morning i depart for Pine River, Minnesota and will be installing a whole bunch of lovely AKG bushings on the E30.

Great pics, i am about due for a serious road trip myself.

When you say "mend the bridges" do you mean break the bed make up sex?

This is awesome! One of my ways to blow time is to write on a note pad in bold print weird questions. Then hold up to fellow motorists and see what they do lol

Update: days 4/5 were excellent. Let's just say I did some bridge mending with a side of bed breaking :). We aren't back together, but that's where it appears to be headed which makes this trip that much better. Enough of that, back to road trip shenanigans.

Day 6 is in full swing. I'm somewhere in Iowa and just had to go to 3 different gas stations to find anything over 89 octane. In the words of Jay and Elwood of the blues brothers: "I'm on a mission from god". What's that mission you ask? Haulin ass! First 200miles of the day done in a little under 2.5 hours. I should be in pine river by 2pm. More pics uploaded tonight.
