Why are you wearing a harness in those pictures? Not very safe without a roll bar.

Update time. Sorry for the delay, my aunt and uncle didnt have WiFi and i was way too lazy to hook upload pics last night anyway.

      Day 5
I left Lawrence at 5am after 2 days with the Ex that went very very well. I headed back east towards Kansas City where i picked up 35N and cruised on up to Minneapolis. Once again I was hauling ass. Made it from Lawrence to Minneapolis in 6hours and 20 minutes. From there it was about another 2.5hours to my Aunt and Uncles in Pine River. If any of you ever do a road trip I seriously suggest staying with friends or relatives who are good cooks. Got there and had drinks with my uncle, then chips/salsa, homemade burritos, corn cake, margaritas, and 4 layer german chocolate cake for my birthday. I was fat and happy. Went to bed, and woke up to homemade blueberry waffles. It was awesome. Now onto the pics, sorry they arent incredibly exciting, Iowa kinda blows.

I have lived in IA for 18 months (you went with in 5 miles of where I lived there) 5 miles west of 35 2 miles north of 20 about an hour and 10 north of Des Moines. I hate it there, thats just one of many reasons I live here lol.

Day 6: 900 miles, 1 break down, 3 thunder storms, and hail.

I slept in and left Pine River at 8:00am with the intention of getting to Billings, MT. After a few storms and a break down got my adrenaline pumping I decided to push on to Bozeman. I am currently in my hotel room enjoying a king size bed while I fill all of you in on the adventure that today was.

Some morning Showers leaving pine river. Lucky for me my Uncle fills in at an Auto Parts store in town so he hooked me up with some fresh wiper blades, no more streaks!

                Decisions, Decisions...

My Uncle is a paramedic, so when he was showing me his ambulance I scored a few goodies. This was fun for an hour or so, lots of strange looks.

                Welcome to North Dakota!

The house my mom, aunt, and uncles grew up in.

                Chillen in Fargo

This was something different...gas light was on for about 20 miles when i saw hope, who knew it was goin to be a dirt off-ramp?

My car had been transformed into a butterfly/bee slayer

getting back on the highway was just as fun as getting off.

My old buddy Mister Red bull

I felt very special to drive here.

This thing was pretty neat, not exactly sure what it was though.

                Sunflowers!

                Finally the ride got cool!

                Home on the range

And then there was the break down...I was about an hour or so into Montana and there wasn't a car in sight, only the straight, flat, open road. Needless to say it was time for a high speed run. She did a cool 138mph and had a lot left. I had to let off due to cars in the distance. Shortly after that run i slowed down to 55mph in a construction zone and I was having sporatic power loss. It felt like i wasnt getting any fuel. So at the next exit i got off, as soon as i got to the stop sign at the end of the off ramp White Lightning died. I tried to get her going again, but the longest she would run was about 15 seconds before stalling from what sounded like it wasnt getting fuel. As i sat there standing next to the car shouting things like "stupid whore", "WTF", "Mother F$&cker", etc... I turn around to see two girls in a car about 10 feet from me with their windows down giving me a less than friendly look. After about 20 minutes at the off ramp stop sign i got the car going and hauled ass to the gas station a hundred yards away. Sure enough it died again. So i checked my fuel pump, fuel rail, fuel lines, etc... Then after a phone call to Anson at Best Motor Werks back in Columbus, Ohio I made sure i had a good battery connection. It was a little loose, so i snugged it down, bought a bottle of fuel system cleaner, got her running and did a few rips up and down the service road before i got back on the highway. She was running like a top again.

                the break down.

                dying of boredom.

                Montana Scenery

                a storms a brewin

The lightening was incredible, the wind was pushing my car so hard i had to keep the wheel cocked to the right to go straight, the rain was deafening, and then there was HAIL! It came out of nowhere, all of the sudden the road was white and my car was getting blasted by balls of ice. Igot it all on video(ill upload them soon).

kinda gives you an idea of the wind.

Post hail car inspection under a bridge with a couple bikers

                neat mid storm sky

Once the storms were over i was able to get back up to speed and get to Billings...If you ever stop in Billings, dont trust the Conoco gas pumps.

                But definitely buy a scratch-off. I won $10

                Montana Sunset

And thats it for the day. Videos soon

Im in Bozeman for the night. 900 miles was enough for one day, and yes it is a great state! Great choice!

yeah we had some storms today. You aint seen nothing yet as far as scenery yet. Boze is a BEAUTIFUL AREA though rivals where I live in that respect.

Watch out in Homestake tomorrow (pass over the Continental divide) between Whitehall and Butte, I am not sure about down there, but up here we have a winter weather advisory above 6500 feet, ( 1-3 in August lol) you might run into some snow at the top of the pass. You might even see a little bit on the peaks of Look out pass as you cross in to ID if they get any down there.

The scenery has only just begun for you. Take your time and enjoy it will get even better the further west you get.
