Why not? Many are overlooked as being "too big" and not worth driving hard, but consideirng the low market value, low demand, and high quality (it IS bmw's flagship car after all). I'd do it, esp. for a cruiser/commuter car.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

Swap a different motor into the e32, or use the E32 motor in something else?

i had an e32 93 740iL for awhile. nice car. the interior was immaculate. the exterior wasnt bad but the PO had let it sit in the sun for awhile so there was some paint fade. Shifted great, engine was still strong at 130k. It did have a weird plastic coolant pipe running from the radiator to the expansion tank (from memory) that got so brittle it cracked and leaked coolant everywhere. Eventually overheated. Had a couple of other cars to worry about so I sold it with much regret. Anyways, fix the odds and ends and they're amazing cars.

It runs well, but it needs brakes. The interior is crap as well

I'm still unsure why people don't think E30's are a suitable daily.

They have A/C, fuel injection, relatively comfortable, decent size back seat and boot(trunk) etc. Only real downside is fuel economy but that's not going to get better hopping into a larger car.

E32's are okay, though. I'd probably rather an E34 though.

                          7 series= pimpin cruiser.
whatever Generation it is, is a pretty supple ride. after all they are all older BMW's and worth some love.
also, they can look pretty bad ass lowered with the right wheel choice.

I also would go with an e34 push come to shove.
