The fact that at the time of the article the E65 was a still a new model, only having been out for just over a year. never buy a car in its first 1-2 years of being out. it takes time to get the bugs out.
and, the fact that it was an E65, well, that explains it all right there.
Also, There are lots of these E65 running around my area with 24+ chrome rims on them. There real popular with "that crowd"Comment

This. My 2002 Supercharged Xterra has been on expired tags for close to a year. I cannot pass NC inspection because the ECU is telling the state inspection shop that has not passed the "readiness code". (I just did the timing belt and tune up/ disconnected the battery) This code is put enforced by the govt on all newer cars so that the ecu cant be tapered with (CEL delete). So I just try to see of the car is ready to get inspected from time to time to see if the car is ready to pass. Legally, Im not suppose to drive it but to clear the code, I need to drive it. A$$ backwards!Comment

old article but still relevant..all those bugs are why you see those 7-series, s class, a8's, etc at used car dealerships for $15k when their only like 2-4 years old....

i used to say that new cars suck, till i bought one. love my new chevy, no electrical problems what-so-ever.
i had WAY more problems with my e30 than with my truck. thats why i got rid of the e30 and still have the truck.
my e28 on the other hand, is fantastic. battered and tattered, reliable as hell.Originally posted by BillBraskyThat's like Vlad challenging Chip Foose to a car painting contest.Originally posted by acolella76i'm pretty sure 'Phillis' is short for syphilis

I quite enjoy my E30, but I keep moving backwards to older cars each purchase I make....
Next I hope to be pre-1974....

Does he not know what a trip meter is? Or more to the point, does he ever think to himself "hey, it's been a while since I've filled up, I should probably do something about that!"
I work at a BMW dealership and yeah, there's some pretty stupid stuff that goes wrong. But half the owners are just as bad as the cars.M CoupeComment
