Iv had my car for a while now and it had this clifford alarm system thing an I don't really know how it works or if it works at all. And I don't know what that switch is next to it and that random little square button either..any help?
first switch next to the alarm warning light could be anything from aftermarket lights to a kill switch of some type. its just a generic aftermarket switch.
The little button in the second picture deactivates the rear window switches. if you have children in the back. (or retarded friends who like to throw shit out of your E30 and you need to cut the windows to stop them)
Dude, how would any of us know what the first switch does? It was added on by a PO, not bmw. Is your car eqipped with a fog light switch next to your headlight knob? Best advice I can give you is pop out the coverplate, and trace the leads.
Clifford! Nice vintage alarm there. That switch is obviously an add on. Pull it out and see where the wires go. Could be anything from auxiliary lighting to power antenna control.
Do you have the remotes for the alarm?

Yeahhh in that case, there's no use worrying about it then. I don't know if getting replacement remotes will be worth it. Not with how cheap alarms have gotten.
