removing oxidation on window trim results

From ashy to classy. Sharing my results with a oxidation remover and polish for aluminum, stainless steel, chrome and brass. Product is called White Diamond - multi purpose metals polish. Product worked well on my dull oxidized cloudy window trim, really brought it back to life. It does require some elbow grease, and time but results are worth it.

Here are a few pictures for those who are interested. (I used the product on about half the trim, the other half on the left is how it was before.)

I honestly can't tell if there is a before and after pic, the trim looks kinda oxidized in both pics.

The suckiest part of shadowline is how much of a bitch it is to get the trim off without fucking it up. I literally bought some trim that was still on a parts car just to practice getting it off, so I can know what I'm getting into when I pull the trim off my car to paint it. Some is easy, other parts are a fucking pita. Fuck all that taping/masking nonsense, Jordan had it right with his writeup. Buy the OE stuff, pull yours OFF and paint, or don't do it. That's my humble opinion. On a related note, I have yet to pull mine, even after my practice run...

They are not before and after pictures. Both pictures are the same just one holding the bottle of white diamond. The difference is I didn't use the product on the window trim just under the mirror its a night and day difference, about half that bottom strip I used the product the other half is how it was before.

Doing all the trim in Shadowline isn't for me I am not going for a blacked out look. I love the chrome accents the car already has, the grill, window trim, chrome around the emblems, black and chrome lipped wheels right down to the headlights they all compliment each other, IMO

I can see the difference, and it is HUGE! very well done sir. I do professional detailing and none of the products I currently have have been able to cut into my oxidized trim. (granted, I dont have any metal polish ATM)
where did you buy this 'white diamond'? and what was your process? just a rag and elbow grease?

That's correct, A rag and some elbow grease! You pretty much just need to rub "vigorously" on to surface being treated wipe clean and repeat until you get the results you want. I picked it up at Advanced Autoparts.

IMO black cars need the chrome trim and chrome kidneys to contrast the black. If everything is painted black it makes the car look cheap.

One picture before and one picture after would probably helped get your point across more effectively. But you have done a great job of putting the product out there. I will be buying a bottle. Thanks for sharing.................................G.
