removing oxidation on window trim results

Just buy the shit from Bavauto for $60 or so. It works very well. i've tried it. No liquid polish alone will get the job done.

I've used simichrome metal polish on severely oxidized metals in the past. My kirby has a mirror polish on it, took about 35 mins with a die grinder and polishing ball to do all the pieces. The aluminum was almost white with oxidation before I started. I'll have to look for the before pictures.

I have used both the bavauto kit for $60 on my 325e and the White Diamond for about $15 on my 325i. If you are going to pay for the Bavauto kit be very careful while wet sanding the trim not to go to deap into the finish or you will go right through it taking the chrome off, espicially in areas that sit higher than others. Although the Bavauto kit works very well in my opinion its not worth the 60 dollars with the results I have been having with the White Diamond. This product will in no means remove your oxidation by just applying a few times. You really need to spend the time and energy and work at it little by little and yes it will remove the oxidation, same goes with the wet-sanding with the Bavauto kit! If you don't have the patience or diligence do not use either product as both require it. As you can see from the pictures I took you could not see through my trim on the left hand side bellow the mirror, the right hand side removed all the oxidation and looks great imo. If you are going to buy either product I would suggest working on a small area first see how long it takes for you to get that section done to your satisfaction then see if your ready to tackle the whole car.:-D

lol I always forget to take a before picture, it doesn't hit me till after I am almost finished that it would have been nice to have a before picture. No problem, I am happy to share and glad to hear there is interest based on my results. Thanks for the feedback
