    325 vs 318

    ive been looking for an e30 for days now and have come across some clean 318s but dont really know if i want to buy one.
    I was interested in the 318 because of the gas mileage but people have told me that a well maintained 325 will have almost as good mpg.
    whats better about the 318 vs the 325?

        I would just get the 325. More power, engine is more simple to work on, not to mention the support for boost.

              Do not underestimate the power of a 318

                Test drive both. See what you like. Buy.

                I actually miss the sewing machine like m42, but I don't think I'd miss the m20 if I was to swap it out of my ix. That's just me tho.

                    m20 = 25mpg

                    m42 = 138hp

                            ive owned two 325i's already, and now own a 318is...so far my from them my fav is the m42...a little slower but lighter in weight...and cornering and handling is much better on the 318is, i get around 35mpg with a 3.91 vlsd

                              I have owned:

                              m42 - 30-31 mpg average
                              m20b25 - 25mpg average
                              m20b27 - 28mpg average

                              M42 car has been my favorite so far. If I could find another clean 318is id buy it in a heartbeat.
