    0-60 Time

Has anyone been lame enough (like me) to set out for a long and undisturbed road to perform a 0-60 test of your E30?

I managed to get 6.5 seconds out of a super eta build, with the timer in my shifting hand.

yeah, i just did it for teh lolz and also the knowledge of how slow it really is, they really dont feel that slow, but they are really slow, its strange. and yeah they suck ass. i hope in 20 years when my dads getting rid of it, i can pick it up, dump it on some nice wheels and throw a huge v8 in it with a 6 speed. that would be interesting.

Car ran a 7.5-ish when I had 10:1 compression on my M42. Runs a 9-ish now at 8.5:1. Launching at 4K and calling the time when I hit redline in second, which is just about 61mph.

5.9 best time with an M50B25 stock, 6 puck clutch, great tires, perfect launch, full interior and a spare.

took a shitload of tries though.

i'm curious to know what a b25 can manage with a 3.73 and a 7k chip. That 5x mph shift kills it. factory specs say 0-50 in 5.5 I think. Damn you third.

At 6,000 feet I probably do 0-60 in about 10 seconds, lol. Damn you altitude.
