guys, stop running your tanks that low. u have any idea how much crap can accumulate in there in 25 years???????? u really wana suck that through your lines???

and oh yea, never run it up the spout either. bad for the level sensor

I've done both as long as I've owned my car. I know people that never fill it up all the way and never run it low - they always end up with shit in their tank. you have a fuel filter you know.. change it once in a while!

kind of OT and a dumb question, butttt. WHEN exactly does the fuel reserve light come on? I've only let the needle go barelllly past the R before I got fuel. The light has only come on one time so I'm not sure if it's working properly or not.

I ended up buying a gas can of gas, putting it in the trunk and driving until the car ran out of gas. I recorded how many miles the car traveled between when the light came on and the car ran out of gas. Now if I could only find where I wrote that down...
