The problem is i already have struts, but if i cut the housing it'll be too short. should i just buy camber plates?

Depending on the camber plates, it will only net you like 1/4 inch of travel and that's if you don't lower it. So camber plates will just let you lower it 1/4 inch more, but that's defeating the purpose of gaining that travel.

Camber plates are also thinner than the stock strut mounts so it will lower the car a little.

          This is mine:
          (No motor in)

          Early model arches(higher=harder to tuck)

This is maxed out without shortening the housings. I am tucking ALL tread and a little side wall. I had to roll and pull a bit to fit the tires.

GC coils, bilstein sports, e28 GC camber plates(8-10mm drop vs stock hats) spring rates: 500F/700R
In the spring I am chopping 2" out of the housings in the front and going to valved Koni for better dampening for track use. This was NOT needed on the Bilsten sports. It rode and handled like a boss, only reason I am changing is for more strut options.

FYI the rear suspension has camber and toe adjustment welded in.

          Hope this helps =)

                =)

225/50/16 the wheels came with the tires. Next set is going to be 215/45/16 for track days and on the BBS RS I am building will be 205/45/16 giving them a little stretch.

Chop em! You'll regret it if you don't. For the $300 you spend on camber plates you could just about buy a set of Koni's

All the way down in the front, about a 1/2 inch to go down in the rear.

                    Unmodified housings, GC Camber plates

                    Bilstien Sports all around

                    195/60/14 up front
                    195/65/14 in the rear

I'd like to go lower still...

Never noticed them doing that, I ran mine in a SCCA event quite hard. Did outstanding no issues. Handles daily driving very well too.
