There are a couple companies who make reproduction pieces in fiberglass so you don't have to chop up an m3. But you'll still need one of those $400 back windows to place in to the fiberglass frame.

Jordan did it to his 318is, but his car is a ways from "stock".

if things go right i might be picking up a totaled m3, not much left on the car but that area i would be able to cut out.

Raxe, that's no photoshop. That car IIRC is or was in the Bay area. I thought I remembered seeing the picture somewhere and found it on strictlyeta.net.

I've seen pictures of the conversion done and it hardly looks worth it unless you're able to do it all yourself and get all of the parts cheap.

This is ideal when you find a severly t-boned e30 m3!!

I've done the whole conversion in steel (check out the link in my sig) and there are a couple more parts that are NLA than just the C-pillar. There is an M3 shell on ebay right now for $1400 with usable parts for this, if you're serious. I bought a wrecked M3 to do mine, but there are a few companies in Europe that make the C-pillar in fiberglass. One of the rear window trim pieces is NLA and also the trunk lip around the base of the rear glass, so it becomes tough without a donor M3. I did a bunch of research before I started my project, so I have a bunch of sites and info, if you're interested. I agree with the MT2 kit... someone should photo shop this and see what it looks like. GL with this, I'll keep checking in to see how you make out...

^ive kept up with your thread for a while now, some phenomenal craftsmanship!
If this happens, it will be far in the future (unless a miracle occurs) cause i don't have the funds or time for it. I need to prioritize. But i will hope for a miracle!
Still a good idea to play around with.
