i have driven by the house where this car is located a few times, i normally see the car parked in the front lawn, and this is in a downtown area of napa so it looks super strange, i always wanted to aproach the owner and ask if possibly they were interested in selling (Possibly he didn't know the true value lol) but i never really got a really good look at it, today i spotted it in sunlight and i then flipped a bitch and parked, i walk up to the car to find the rear bumper not fitted properly, scrape on front bumper, ding on driver side rear quarter panel, and stickers all over the FACTORY paint -__- stickers you cant see in the photos include RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT 2012, on the god damn roof, a few of them. not to mention the little plastic figurine stuck on to the roof... i thought to myself, man, this amazing machine deserves a better home, one with more respect.

so i knock on the door, no answer, then his neighbor comes over to see whats up, and i told him that I'm very interested in the car, was wondering if the owner would potentially want sell it, he goes into his backyard, talks to the dude, and he refuses any offers.

i then realize, there's no way, oh well at least i tried, then the neighbor tells me how they had it in there back yard for years, apparently when he bought the car, it had received a new clutch and the people who installed it installed it backwards?

so yeah, just wanted to share my story about discovering an abused and misused e30 m3, it saddens my heart.

nah i didn't even get to speak with the owner personally..... his neighbor was pretty much our messenger. i felt like strangling the guy hahahah. i'll probably bug him a little later...... wait for the economic decline to REALLY set in, then come back with cash.

but in all seriousness, i think my dad might know the owner.
my dad is very active in the city's planning comity especially anything bicycle related, and he use to be president of the local cycling club, and has friends at every bike shop in town, and based off some of these stickers it looks like this guy comes off as a bicyclist. unless he just likes stickers and puts them all over his paint, which after seeing this car could be completely possible.

I think they should make it legal to steal cars that have been severely abused / neglected by their owners.

For the OP it must hurt so much knowing that the owner of this car doesn't give two shits about a car in which 99% of the people on here would donate an organ to own.
