it is a common known fact. 24v cams are hollow or something. Easily bendable. I've seen instances where cams were being taken out of an M50 improperly and the cams actually bent. I don't doubt that after sitting for over a year the cams would bend ever so slightly.

I thought they broke, not bent. the metal cams are made of is really hard, not really bendable.

They bend due to the lack of using the proper Tools to remove them.

this is all that's required, oil baths and grease is messy and old school (read before wd40 was invented).

WD40 was designed and marketed as a rust prohibitor. where people get the idea that it's a lubricant is beyond me.

                WD40 stands for; 'W' = water, 'D' = disbursement, '40' = 40th formula the inventor tried.

I would put a thin coat of some type of oil on them, then put them in a ziplock baggy and call it good. If you want to do more, buy one of those space saver bags and vacuum bag them.

And I find the cam-bending-while-sitting thing to be ridiculous. There is no way the cam's own weight would bend itself. Think about all the cams stored in warehouses and parts stores all over the world. Do you really thing every single one of them is stood on end? Urban legend at best. Reminds me of people claiming sitting a battery on concrete makes it go dead.
